Solar PV For Manufacturing Companies in Ireland
Manufacturing energy costs are rising and cutting into your margins every quarter. Resolute Group designs and installs solar PV systems built for manufacturing facilities across Ireland. We handle everything from site survey to SEAI grant application, installation and long-term maintenance.

Financial Support for
Manufacturing Solar
The SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant covers a tiered portion of commercial solar PV cost: €900 per kWp on the first 2 kWp, €300 per kWp up to 20 kWp, €200 per kWp up to 200 kWp and €150 per kWp up to 1,000 kWp, capped at €162,600. On top, the Accelerated Capital Allowance lets businesses write off 100% of qualifying solar cost in Year 1. For major industrial energy projects, SEAI’s EXEED programme may also apply; we advise where relevant. Resolute handles the full application end-to-end.
SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen
Tiered grant funding from €900/kWp on the first kilowatts down to €150/kWp at utility scale, with a maximum award of €162,600 under the SEAI scheme.
Accelerated Capital Allowance
Claim 100% of qualifying solar PV equipment cost as a Year-1 tax deduction. Stackable with the SEAI grant.
How Solar Pays for Itself in Manufacturing
Manufacturing facilities use large amounts of electricity during the day, across process machinery, compressed air, motors and climate control. That is exactly when solar panels generate the most power. With Irish electricity prices well above the EU average and most factories sitting on expansive unshaded roof space, like the warehouse and industrial roofs we install on across Ireland, solar is not just an environmental decision. It is a financial one.
Lower Energy Bills
Generate your own electricity on-site and reduce what you draw from the grid. The more energy your facility uses during production hours, the greater the saving. Manufacturers see results from the first full billing cycle.
Energy Independence
Reduce your exposure to volatile grid prices and unexpected rate increases. Solar provides a stable, predictable energy source you control for 25 years or more, replacing a volatile operating expense with a fixed one.
Accelerated Capital Allowance
Irish businesses can write off the full cost of a qualifying solar PV system against taxable profits in Year 1 through the ACA scheme. That significantly improves cash flow and shortens payback.
Grid Export Income
Under the Clean Export Guarantee, manufacturers sell surplus electricity back to the grid. Energy your facility does not use during production, such as weekend or shutdown generation, earns income from your supplier.
Bifacial Panels Built for Production Roofs
Resolute installs bifacial (glass-on-glass) panels exclusively, sourced from AE Solar and Longi. They capture light from both faces, delivering higher energy yields than conventional panels across the same roof footprint.
Their improved fire performance rating makes them particularly suited to manufacturing environments, production facilities and regulated industries where fire safety standards are critical.

Ireland's Leading Solar Engineers
Fifteen years installing across Ireland and Northern Ireland, SEAI-certified, with delivered manufacturing and industrial projects including Bushell Interiors, T.E. Laboratories, DBOR Joinery and Wexford Road Business Park, alongside commercial installs for Meta, Primark and Domino’s.

What Our Customers Say

18 Reviews
Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Going Solar from Resolute Engineering Group. As a small family home B&B with many hips, valleys and dormers on main roof and limited space around house required for car parking some imagination was required and Going Solar came up with a plan on a budget to deliver us up to 11,000 kw of power annually via an Anker solid inverter and 20kw of battery, while housing our 25 solar panels on 2 carport structures. On completion the carpark was returned to pre arrival condition and our carbon footprint was slashed by up to 11000 tones a year. On power cuts with change over switch the batteries can keep our home lite for days. Soon Anker app will be updated to automatically fill batteries from any source when Met Eireann issues a red weather warning. Resolute engineering kindly threw in a 21kw zappi 3 phase car charger when doing the install. We had some drama during install that many would have walked from but @ResoluteEngineering @goingsolar saw the project through delivering a finished product any team could be proud of. Yesterday SEAI inspectors called and said top class finish, nothing left out, an install that makes their job easy Thanks to every one who had a part to play in our install at Going Solar @ Resolute Engineering https://resolutegroup.ie/Posted on Google Tom DonagherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A big thank you to the team for a very efficient and professional install yesterday. We're delighted with our system and surprised to see that our battery charge went from 25% to 79% today with solar alone, despite the awful weather. We also really appreciate the excellent advice on the size of system to go for and the best panel arrangement; we found the consultation process to be technically far superior to the sales talk of the other solar companies we spoke to.Posted on Google Finola O'RourkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Frequently Asked Questions
Most commercial rooftop installations are exempt from planning permission in Ireland. Exceptions may apply for ground-mounted systems, protected structures or sites inside solar safeguarding zones near airports, where a 300 m² rooftop limit applies. We confirm this during your site survey.
This depends on the size and complexity of your system and facility. We provide a clear timeline after the site survey and work around your production schedule to minimise disruption.
We coordinate installation around your operating hours. Most of our manufacturing clients experience no downtime during the installation process, and we plan tie-ins outside production hours where required.
The SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant covers up to €162,600 for commercial solar PV systems, on tiered rates from €900/kWp on the first 2 kWp down to €150/kWp at the largest sizes. Resolute handles the full application process on your behalf.
Yes. Solar covers daytime shifts directly, and battery storage carries surplus generation into evening and night shifts, reducing peak-rate grid imports. We size battery capacity from your half-hourly consumption data so the system matches how your facility actually runs.
The bifacial panels we install from AE Solar and Longi carry a 25-year product warranty. Most systems continue to perform well beyond this, with gradual efficiency loss of around 0.5% per year.
Scheduled maintenance visits, real-time performance monitoring, inverter health checks, component replacement and full support for the entire 25-year panel guarantee period.
